Private house in Jõelähtme

This country house with high gablet roof resembling to an ancient farmhouse with barn – the most typical traditional Estonian farmhouse - is to be built in historically protected area at Jõelähtme, Northern-Estonia near the local church and on the banks of Jõelähtme river.

The house borrows its form from ancient predecessors of the area but uses contemporary stucco and tiled roof instead of original timber and thatched roof. The base is made of local limestone. A light glazed veranda resembling to glazed porches of country houses from somewhat later periods is attached to the southern facade.
